10744NAT – Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology

Description

This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge and skills to perform the following functions within a Christian ministry context:

  • Interpret, analyse and apply integrated concepts related to Christian beliefs;
  • Provide considered information and ideas related to Christian beliefs and teachings to Christian and non-Christian audiences;

Provide leadership to Christians based on demonstrated understanding of Christianity.

Australian College of Christianity will offer 10744NAT Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology to students who wish to enter church ministry and Missionary works .

  • This course supports the development of Christians in their spiritual formation and growth through biblical studies and theological discourse, equips them with the necessary skills to serve effectively in their local churches, para-church organisations and other Christian ministries.
  • It is used to equip students for initial entry into ministry, internships, and service in their community, local churches and mission fields, resulting in improved ministry skills and knowledge for volunteers and entry level ministry staff.
  • To train men and women to share Jesus with the world.
  • Providing an entrance point for young Christians who may want to learn more or move into ministry or further study in this field.
  • The Christian Ministry and Theology qualifications are very well designed, highly suitable for this purpose, because they are broad and flexible enough for customisation, while still remaining specific enough for the Christian Ministry and Theology sector.
  • It provides the basic foundations for biblical knowledge and literacy, theological frameworks and spiritual reflection.
  • It increases familiarity with and interpretation of the Scriptures, provision of personal views, focus upon engagement with others outside the faith community.

 

Entry Requirements

To enter 10744NAT Advanced Diploma Christian Ministry and Theology, candidates should have a Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology and year 12 school certificate, its equivalent or maturity and appropriate life experience. It is recommended that candidates have relevant experience to indicate likely success at this level of qualification in a job role involving:

  • The self-directed application of knowledge with substantial depth in some areas
  • The exercise of independent judgement and decision-making
  • The application of relevant technical and other skills.
