Entry Requirements

To enter CSM III – Certificate III in Screen and Media, candidates should have a year 10 school certificate, its equivalent or maturity and appropriate life experience. It is recommended that candidates have relevant experience to indicate likely success at this level of qualification in a job role involving:
• The self-directed application of knowledge with substantial depth in some areas
• The exercise of independent judgement and decision-making
• The application of relevant technical and other skills.

The graduate will have factual, technical, procedural and some theoretical knowledge of Christian Ministry and Theology and be able to apply knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy and judgement and to take limited responsibility in known and stable ministry contexts within established parameters. They will be able to complete routine activities and provide and transmit solutions to predictable and sometimes unpredictable problems within a Christian Ministry environment.

The purpose of this course is to either:

  • Qualify individuals to serve in church groups and other ministry contexts within a broad range of defined roles and in accordance with the values, procedures and practice guidelines of those church groups and Christian ministry contexts, or
  • To provide a pathway for further learning by progression to higher level of qualifications developed in conjunction with this Course, and in particular, to the Certificate III in Screen and Media.

Graduates of this course will have acquired knowledge related to fundamental, basic beliefs of church groups and which are relevant to certain Christian ministry contexts.
